DIHA reporter Şerife Oruç was stopped by police and detained in Batman city center Monday evening. Two other people near her, Emrullah Oruç and Muzaffer Tunç, were also detained and taken to prosecutor's office.

The three were later referred to court which ruled their arrest on alleged grounds of "membership to an illegal organisation". DIHA reporter and the two people near her were sent to Batman M Type Prison.

In the meantime, it is reported that Şerife Oruç was subjected to naked search while in custody at the police directorate.
