The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have successfully repelled all attacks by the Turkish state and its Syrian National Army (SNA) proxies on Tishrin, said the SDF Press Centre in a statement, adding that during the clashes, dozens of SNA members were killed, and 2 armored vehicles along with 10 military vehicles were destroyed.
The SDF Press Center provided the following details regarding the Tishrin resistance:
"Despite the Turkish state's use of drones and heavy tank and artillery fire, our forces inflicted significant losses on the Turkish occupation forces and their militias, targeting their positions effectively.
In the night from Sunday to Monday, Turkish drones conducted reconnaissance over the Tishrin Dam countryside. Simultaneously, the region was bombarded by heavy artillery and rockets.
On Saturday afternoon, at 1:00 PM, militias affiliated with the Turkish state attacked the villages of Elush and Til Erish. Our forces responded, destroying one military vehicle. Additionally, the Martyr Harun Units targeted a group of militants. A clash lasting two hours followed. We can confirm that two militants were killed, while the others fled the battlefield. Following the attack, our forces carried out operations with heavy weaponry against militia gathering points. However, information regarding the casualties and damage remains unconfirmed. “
The statement added: "A vehicle belonging to the SNA attempted to advance towards our fighters’ positions but was destroyed by the Martyr Harun Units. Images of the vehicle’s destruction will be shared later.
In clashes near Syriatel Hill, our forces destroyed two armored vehicles and one military transport vehicle belonging to the militias. As a result, numerous militants were killed, and their bodies remain on the ground.
The Martyr Harun Units struck Turkish occupation forces and their militias at 27 separate points. These operations destroyed a radar station, one armored vehicle, and five military vehicles. Additionally, 21 militia positions were hit, resulting in many casualties and injuries among the militants."
