Turkish army launched an operation with the participation of thousands of soldiers in the countryside of Hakkari's Çukurca district on August 30. Turkish government said this operation was the most expansive one in their history.

HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas are responding to this operation with historic resistance and inflicting heavy blows on occupant Turkish military forces.

Remaining desperate in the face of the resistance of guerrillas, Turkish forces suspended the operation and retreated to their outposts. Turkish army is suffering a psychological defeat in the face of the expansive actions carried out by guerrillas every day since.

Guerrillas have brought the Turkish Gendarme Command to the point of saying “We are waging a war of life and death in Çukurca”. However, it is questionable how the Turkish army, which cannot fight, is waging a war of life and death.

Desperate in the face of the guerrilla actions and stuck in outposts along the Çukurca border, the Turkish army started an even more comprehensive operation in Ertuş area on October 5. The operation against guerrilla-held areas was this time participated by over 30 thousand soldiers and military equipment brought in from other Turkish cities such as Kayseri and Eskişehir. Heavy clashes continue in this battle which has expanded to a larger area now.

HPG guerrillas in the operation zone spoke to ANF and voiced determination to resist and fight till the last drop of blood against this aggression which also targets the guerrilla zones in South Kurdistan territory. Guerrillas stress that: "Fascist Turkish gang groups will lose."

"WE ARE GIVING A REVOLUTION STRUGGLE"

HPG guerrilla Lezgin Botan: The isolation imposed upon Leader Apo (Öcalan) is a major reason of war to us. The denial of communication with our Leader is a leading cause for us to wage this huge battle. We, all our comrades here, promise our people that the struggle we are giving here is getting us closer to revolution every passing second. Turkish army has suffered huge blows in Ertuş territory and will continue facing the same aftermath. They are trying to create a perception as if they have attained major gains in this area despite the fact that we have inflicted heavy blows on them amid the ongoing huge battle. We may not be alive to see the revolution but we promise our people to present revolution to them together with our comrades who are resisting till the last drop of blood here. We are not just responding to the operations of the Turkish army in Ertuş, Çele and other parts of Kurdistan. We are giving a revolution struggle here.

"A HUGE WAR IS BEING WAGED"

HPG guerrilla Şoreşger Herekol: Turkish army has suffered heavy blows in this area during the ongoing huge battle. Turkish troops are fighting with prominent modern technical means which guerrillas are defeating and thus inflicting huge blows on them. They intend to conduct an ISIS-like aggression on us, they want to attack us after razing everywhere to the ground, just like what ISIS did in Kobanê. Yet, there is something they cannot take into account; the fact that we are in Kurdistan mountains.

These mountains have protected us from everything for 40 years now and they keep protecting us against huge attacks now. As guerrilla forces we know very well how to protect ourselves in the mountains. Tayyip Erdoğan thought their forces would be able to fight us by means of technics they have borrowed from ISIS. However, guerrillas have defeated and exhausted the gangs of Erdoğan in Ertuş territory. Intense clashes are still ongoing and every action conducted by our side is leaving dozens of Turkish soldiers dead. Guerrillas are even walking over their corpses as they change their positions. This is the reality of the war here that everyone needs to know. Our comrades are also being martyred here but every single martyr is leaving dozens of soldiers dead before their death. We will be the winning side in this war.

"TURKISH STATE WANTS TO ENTER SOUTH KURDISTAN"

HPG guerrilla Dilovan Kobanê: By bringing the Treaty of Lausanne back to the agenda, the Turkish state has recently shown once again that it has eye on Kurdistan lands. The Turkish soldiers in Bashiqa, that forcibly stay there as an occupant force, are supposedly attacking Jarablus in an effort to enlarge the lands of Turkey. They now intend to carry out cross-border operations to this end. Tayyip Erdoğan is a liar and he considers himself smart. However, the resistance we mount in Ertuş manifests how simple-minded he is. We as PKK guerrillas promise our people that we will send the pro-ISIS gangs of Tayyip to the dustbin of history.
