Engaging with the AKP will make KDP lose
Those who congratulated the AKP in the referendum were gangs like Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Ahrar Al-Sham and countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar. And the Barzanis.

The AKP-MHP alliance lost in Turkey’s referendum. The No front won, but the Yes votes were raised to 51% through fraud, particularly in Kurdistan. But nobody in or outside of Turkey believes the Yes won. Nobody thinks this referendum was legitimate. All the political powers are looking at the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) report, which states there was fraud. Thus, nobody congratulated Tayyip Erdoğan and the AKP government, save for a couple of states.
Those who congratulated the AKP in the referendum were gangs like Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Ahrar Al-Sham and countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar. And the Barzanis. If congratulating the referendum to create an administration of Kurdish genocide wasn’t enough, they say “the Kurds carried Yes to victory” with no shame. Despite the Kurds predominantly voting 'No!' They are trying to prove how complicit they are by saying the Kurds carried Erdoğan and the AKP to victory. Through this, they are hoping to get something from the AKP-MHP alliance government.
Even with the fraudulent vote, they only managed to push 'Yes' above 'No' in Muş and Bitlis. Because Urfa is the city of the Kurdish People’s Leader, they double the anti-Kurdish votes and halve the Kurdish patriotic democratic votes there every election. They also show special interest in Bingöl. They always make sure the ruling party wins there. Other than these, all Kurdish cities and districts have always voted predominantly against the power. This was the case in this referendum as well. Despite all the fraud and the pressure, the 'No' vote was very high once again. Especially in places where the Kurdish people are conscious, organized and aware the people protected their votes. But in some places, it was easier to implement the fraud because the HDP members and the people were barred from observing.
Although the whole world said there was pressure, an uneven playing field and fraud, the Barzanis and the KDP ignored these facts and congratulated the AKP, which is an insult first to the Kurds who were oppressed and whose votes were stolen. KDP being good allies with the AKP, exposed for who they really are to the whole world, goes against the interest of the Kurds in itself. Offering support to the AKP at a point where the AKP-MHP alliance is weakened means standing in a different place than all the peoples of the region and the rest of the world. The allies the AKP-MHP alliance has in the region now are the enemies of humanity, the fundamentalist racist gangs. Other than them, they are at odds with every political power in the region. They are at odds with Europe. Even though the US doesn’t openly take a stance against the AKP government because of their ties with Turkey, they don’t want a Turkey led by the AKP. Russia and other countries are not content with Erdoğan either. Can KDP having such a close relationship with such a person and a political power be in the interest of Kurds? KDP’s relationship with the AKP is very different from Europe’s or the US’s relationship with the AKP. While these powers want to be rid of the AKP government, the KDP is acting as a guardian angel for the AKP government. KDP protecting the AKP government while Europe wants to be rid of the AKP government is proof that KDP’s policies are deeply flawed. A relationship with a government that wants to carry out a genocide on the Kurds will not end well for the KDP. Even if KDP manages to not lose on their other policies, they are destined to lose due to their relationship with the AKP.
KDP is also trying to prevent the autonomous life of Êzidîs in Shengal, together with the AKP. KDP both pushes their mercenaries on Shengal and they are threatening the Êzidîs along with the Turkish state. But these policies of the KDP are not accepted by the Kurdish people, or humanity in general. KDP has pushed itself into an unsolvable policy. KDP gave Turkey an inch, and Turkey took a yard. They have become a part of Turkey’s anti-Kurdish policies. It is inevitable for a political power in a close relationship with Turkey to become anti-Kurdish. The whole world can see this, so what is the KDP propping up such an anti-Kurdish country, if not a deadlock? Unless the KDP gets out of this predicament, they will commit more sins against the Kurds and then announce their own end.
The KDP doesn’t believe in the strength of the Kurdish people. They don’t believe in the strength of a union to be created among Kurds. They don’t believe that all issues will be solved when they enter a democratic relationship with the Kurds. That is why they think they can become a power through being complicit with the AKP. This is an embarrassment for the Kurds. A Kurdish party falling to such lows won’t be accepted by the Kurdish conscience or history. KDP can’t explain their relationship in any way. This relationship questioned by the Kurds is bound to hit a snag at some point.
Not pulling back the forces sent to Khanasor creates a constant risk for clashes. If the KDP thinks they can achieve results through the AKP government there, they are fooling themselves. The AKP-MHP alliance are now the losing side. Êzidîs won’t accept an intervention by the AKP supported KDP, and neither will the world. As such, many Western political powers have refused KDP’s approach on Shengal.
The AKP-MHP alliance may wish to stay afloat through war because they are weak, but this venture will end in great defeat under the current regional and global circumstances. In this sense, all political powers who associate with the AKP-MHP alliance will lose. Turkey is now on the losing side. KDP shouldn’t enter any ventures relying on Turkey. They shouldn’t harm themselves or the Kurds through such ventures. If the KDP wants to make peace with all Kurds, they should first pull their forces from Khanasor.
