Comte: MİT administrators’ statements are important for the case

Lawyer of the Cansız, Doğan and Şaylemez case stated that the case will continue with different arguments, adding: “If statements by the MİT administrators KCK holds confirm the documents the French prosecutor has, they'll be very important for the case."

The case of the murders of PKK founding member Sakine Cansız, KNK Paris Representative Fidan Doğan and Youth Movement member Leyla Şaylemez who had been killed on January 9, 2013 in the Kurdistan Information Bureau in Paris, France had gotten even further complicated when the murder suspect Ömer Güney died, and in a statement to the ANF, lawyer Antoine Comte said: “If the statements by the MİT administrators held by the KCK confirm the documents the French prosecutor has, they will be very important for the case.”

THE MİT HELD RESPONSIBLE

Comte said the current file has many arguments and documents that clearly show the people responsible and added: “The case is not over yet. The case was dismissed after the murder suspect Ömer Güney died. What we want is for the case to continue with people other than Güney. Because there are others in this case. There are MİT members who are held responsible in this case. These are individuals who have been directly accused by the prosecutor. If we follow reason, the case should continue up to the people responsible.”

Comte said they are waiting to hear from various sources and added that they won’t be making anything public yet so as to not hurt the trial process. Comte added that there are some names in the file prepared by the French prosecutor and pointed out Turkey’s role: “It is almost impossible right now to extradite these people with finalized crimes from the country they are in.”

MİT ADMINISTRATORS’ STATEMENTS IMPORTANT FOR THE CASE

Antoine Comte also pointed out the statements of MİT administrators held by the KCK, Erhan Pekçetin and Aydın Günel, and said: “We have important confirmed documents that point to the MİT in the Ömer Güney file. If statements by the MİT administrators held by the KCK confirm the documents the French prosecutor has, they will be very important for the case. It would be more important if this information is combined with the evidence the French prosecutor has.”

Lawyer Antoine Comte stated that Turkey’s death squads are on the move against Kurds and opposition members in Germany, France and Belgium and added that there must be precautions taken.
