Meeting between Imrali delegation and President Erdoğan starts

The meeting between the Imrali delegation and President Tayyip Erdoğan has started.

Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Imrali delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder made a statement in front of the Parliament before going to meet with AKP Chairman and President Tayyip Erdoğan.

Önder answered journalists' questions at the Parliament gate and said: "We will talk about the point reached by the process with the President."

Önder added: "We will share Mr Ocalan's views and suggestions regarding the future as well as our own suggestions. We believe that the democratic political field, peace and related activities will continue with much more rapid, fast and qualified steps."

Asked whether it is fair to call this process "historic," Önder said: "We are not using such ambitious concepts. It is the people's own discretion. We have brought the process to this point with great will and determination. We have been very protective. Everyone has acted in this way. We are grateful to the whole country for this."

Pervin Buldan said: "I would like to add that this is an important meeting. Because Mr. President will perhaps exchange views on this issue for the first time. He will express his views on what needs to be done. We will inform him about all the meetings we have held. May it be beneficial for Turkey. May it lead to peace."
