The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center announced the outcome of the thwarted attacks by the Turkish forces and allied mercenaries in the Manbij area on January 22.
According to the statement, SDF forces eliminated fourteen mercenaries of the Turkish state while repelling their attacks, which were supported by Turkish warplanes and UCAVs, on the southern and eastern fronts of Manbij.
On Wednesday, a group of Turkish occupation mercenaries attempted to infiltrate the SDF positions on the Syriatel front. SDF forces confronted the mercenaries, eliminating one of the attackers, while the others fled.
Additionally, SDF forces conducted several operations in the villages of Abu Qalqal, Tal Arsh, and Najm Castle, resulting in the elimination of ten mercenaries and the injury of several others.
The SDF Martyr Haroun Units conducted targeted operations against gatherings of Turkish occupation mercenaries, eliminating three mercenaries and wounding six others.
“In conjunction with clashes on the ground, Turkish occupation, employing warplanes, heavy artillery and missiles, intensively bombarded several areas, including the villages of Bir Hisso, Tineh, Ja’dah, the Silos of Serrin, the area of Qara Qwzaq Bridge, the vicinity of the Tishreen Dam, the southern and eastern fronts of Manbij,” said the SDF statement on Thursday.
