Democratic Syrian Assembly invited to Geneva-3 Conference

The United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, has invited the Democratic Syrian Assembly to the Geneva-3 Conference aimed to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.

The United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, has invited the Democratic Syrian Assembly, the largest component of which is the PYD, to the Geneva-3 Conference aimed to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.

According to sources from Geneva, a UN invitation to the conference has been conveyed to Co-President Heysem Mena, while it has not reached the other co-chair Îlham Ehmed yet.

The Rojava delegation to take part in the Geneva-3 Conference is expected to be comprised of PYD (Democratic Union Party) co-chair Saleh Moslem, Democratic Syrian Assembly co-chairs Ilham Ehmed and Heysem Mena, Democratic Syrian Assembly Member Rende Qesas and Qerdi Cemil.

Qedri Cemil and Rende Qesas have also received the invitations.
