Wrath of Euphrates Action Room Command held a press briefing and announced the balance sheet for the 10 days of the second stage in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates.

The press statement during the briefing in the village of Xirbêt Ciheşa was read by Wrath of Euphrates Action Room Spokesperson Cîhan Şêx Ehmed.

“97 VILLAGES LIBERATED, 96 ISIS MEMBERS KILLED"

The press statement highlighted the following balance sheet for the 10 days of the second stage in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates:

“During the first 10 days in the second stage in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, which was launched from the directions of Qadiriyê and Kerdoşan villages with the goal of liberating western Raqqa, fighters have liberated 97 villages, dozens of hamlets and strategic hills in a total area of 1300 square kilometers.

96 ISIS members were killed in clashes and 7 others were captured alive and taken captive, including one gang member who surrendered together with his family.

Our fighters have reached the Euphrates after liberating a large area from ISIS groups."

550 MINES DEFUSED

The Wrath of Euphrates Action Room Spokesperson stated that their fighters have defused 550 mines planted by ISIS gangs, but have not cleared all the mines in all of the recently liberated areas yet. 9 fighters of the Action Room fell as martyrs and another 12 got injured during the clashes over the past 10 days.

CALL TO THE PEOPLE

Lastly, the Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room noted that the residents of the recently liberated villages have returned to their homes, warned civilians to stay away from areas occupied by ISIS gangs, and thanked them for their warm welcome towards the Wrath of Euphrates fighters.
