HDP Group Deputy co-chair İdris Baluken, deputies Meral Danış Beştaş and Osman Baydemir have started hunger strike in the office of the Turkish Interior Ministry.

The hunger strike by HDP deputies came after the failure of their talks with Deputy Minister of the Interior, Sebahattin Öztürk, earlier today to demand urgent ambulance access to the 23 wounded people trapped in a basement and under fire in Cizre for 5 days now.

The hunger strike will reportedly continue until all the wounded are safely taken to hospital and provided with urgent treatment.
