YPG/YPJ forces have started an operation on some villages controlled by the ISIS gangs. Burkan Al Fırat forces comprising components of FSA also took part in the operation which was launched in memories of Martyr Agiri and Martyr Herdem.

YPG Press Office has issued a statement on the 212nd day of the resistance in Kobanê reporting that the gangs were inflicted severe blows in the operation on ISIS-controlled villages. 

YPG said the villages of Xan Memed, Hemdun, Xirab Bergîr, Saqê and Girêk were cleansed of the gangs and liberated, leaving 6 members of gang groups dead. YPG forces seized corpses of 2 gang members as well as large amount of ammunition.

YPG also reported that 2 fighters of Burkan Al Fırat, which has been fighting alongside the YPG / YPJ since the first day of the Kobanê resistance, lost their lives in heavy clashes in the village of Hemdun.

The statement further reported that the ISIS gangs launched an attack on the village of Göktepe last evening with a bomb laden vehicle which was destroyed by the YPG/YPJ forces with the gangs in it. 9 gang members were ascertained killed in fierce clashes that took place after the strong response of the YPG/YPJ fighters, added the statement of the Press Office of YPG.

Regarding the clashes in Cizîrê Canton of Rojava, YPG said the ISIS gangs launched an attack on Ennabiya Sudan hamlet 7 km to the south west of Menacir village of Til Temir last night. YPG reported that the gang groups were repulsed following fierce clashes in the area, adding that 4 gang members were killed as far as ascertained and 5 others were wounded in clashes.

YPG said the gang groups had to flee to Derxam hamlet after being repulsed from Ennabiya Sultan, and added that thereafter the coalition forces launched airstrikes on the gang groups in Derxam hamlet, killing 15 gang members. YPG also reported that the coalition forces destroyed a vehicle of the gangs with 3 gang members inside it in Lîlan village 6 km to the south west of Menacir the same night.
