Three Kurds detained in East Kurdistan

Over the past four weeks, at least 26 Kurdish activists and civilians have been arrested in East Kurdistan.

 

Security forces today raided the village of Deyvaznav in Sarvabad, Kurdistan Province, and arrested civilians Omid Shahdad, Omar Hosseini and Ali Hosseini, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.

 

According to KHRN, security forces beat and arrested the three civilians without a warrant during a raid on their homes and workplaces.

Details of the charges against the individuals and the location of their detention remain unknown.

Over the past four weeks, at least 26 Kurdish activists and civilians have been arrested in Sanandaj, Tehran, Dehloran, Bukan, Oshnavieh, Sarpol-e Zahab, Ilam, Saqqez, Qorveh and Mahabad.

Of the 26 arrested, eight have been sent to prison to serve their sentences.
