SDF releases balance sheet of the operation in south Hesekê

According to the balance sheet of the operation to liberate ISIS-occupied areas in south Hesekê, an area of 1362 km square was cleansed of ISIS during the operation, which involves the towns of Xatuniye and Hawl and 196 villages and hamlets.

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have released the balance sheet of the operation to liberate ISIS-occupied areas in south Hesekê.

During the press conference announcing the results of the operation, statements were made by SDF Spokesman Talal Ali Sılo in Arabic and by Lewend Rojava in Kurdish.

The statement said a number of villages, towns and hamlets have been liberated and a large quantity of ammunition belonging to the gang groups has been seized during the operation conducted by Syrian Democratic Forces in south Hesekê between 30 October and 13 November.

SDF also offered condolences to the French people for the Paris attacks perpetrated by ISIS three days ago, which left over a hundred people dead in horrific terrorist attacks against innocent civilians.

According to the balance sheet of the operation, an area of 1362 km square was cleansed of ISIS during the operation, which involves the towns of Xatuniye and Hawl and 196 villages and hamlets.

493 members of the gang groups were killed and corpses of 112 were seized by SDF.

During the course of the operation, ISIS gangs carried out 13 attacks with guided missiles and 4 mortar attacks with poisonous gas, while 4 ISIS members conducted suicide attacks.

Syrian Democratic Forces destroyed 34 bomb-laden vehicles, 23 military vehicles and 4 motorcycles; and seized 9 bomb-laden vehicles, 22 vehicles, one panzer and 4 motorcycles.

The joint Syrian Democratic Forces also seized a large quantity of ammunition belonging to the gangs, which include 126 Kalashnikov rifles, 24 BKC machine guns, 42 RPG (Bisving) and 93 RPG rockets, 17 DShK heavy machine guns and one M16 rifle.

33 SDF combatants lost their lives and 53 others were wounded during the operation, while 4 civilians were killed as a result of attacks by ISIS members.
