HPG: Dozens of soldiers killed in Kızıltepe

KIZILTEPE

HPG reported that dozens of Turkish soldiers were killed and 25 others were wounded as a result of an action conducted by guerrillas in Kızıltepe district of Mardin.

According to the HPG statement, the expansive action by guerrillas targeted a military induction station in Kızıltepe at 23:40 of April 1 in response to the massacres perpetrated by occupant Turkish army in North Kurdistan.

The sabotage action which was conducted with a bomb-laden vehicle left the building and 3 watch boxes in the station demolished. Citing reports, HPG said as many as 30 ambulances rushed to the scene for the retrieval of the casualties who were later referred to hospitals in Kızıltepe, Mardin and Amed. The Public Hospital of Kızıltepe was evacuated by Turkish security forces.

HPG said dozens of soldiers were killed and 25 others were wounded as a result of the action which -it said- was carried out in memory of the youths martyred in North Kurdistan towns and as a retaliation against the attacks of the Turkish troops.

At 13:30 on April 3, guerrillas conducted 2 assassination actions against the Turkish troop in Girê Cotyar Battalion in the province of Şırnak. 2 soldiers were killed in the actions, after which Turkish military shelled the scene and surrounding areas with howitzer and mortar fire.

LİCE

One other action by guerrillas targeted a Turkish troop deployed in Tıledax village of Amed's Lice district at 18:30 on April 2nd. Two soldiers were injured as a result of the guerrilla action, in the wake of which Turkish forces bombed the hamlet of Sırtê Dızênê.

QILEDAN

Guerrillas carried out another action against a Turkish troop getting deployed on a hill in the village of Qiledan which is located on the highway between Amed and Bingöl provinces. While the number of casualties couldn't be verified, Turkish troops bombed the area after the action.

BİTLİS

Clashes erupted between guerrillas and Turkish soldiers in the rural area of Mutki district in Bitlis province on April 1. Four soldiers and one village guard were killed in the action, after which the scene was heavily shelled by Turkish Cobra type helicopters. HPG said 3 guerrillas fell a martyr in the bombardment, adding that ID details of the fallen guerrillas will be announced later on.

HATAY

HPG continued, reporting another clash between guerrillas and soldiers in Serinyol district of Hatay province at 14:00 on April 1. One guerrilla was martyred during the clash, HPG said, adding that ID details of the fallen guerrilla will be made public later.
