Cizre march continues despite hindrances

Turkish state forces are resorting to any kind of hindrance to prevent masses who took the road to Cizre from across Northern Kurdistan in solidarity with the people against the ongoing crackdown and heavy attacks by Turkish military and police forces.

After being blocked numerous times on their way to Cizre from Mardin's Midyat district, where the people started going on foot, the mass faced yet another hindrance by soldiers at a distance of 30 km to Cizre.

While HDP deputies Altan Tan and Mithat Sancar's talks with military officials here remained inconclusive, the mass changed their route towards the Toklu village of Şırnak's İdil district.

Military officials told the HDP deputies that; “We have received order from the Ministry of Interior to not allow your passage.”
