Clashes that broke out yesterday afternoon in Qamishlo’s Elaya prison encircled by Asayish and YPG forces continued until this morning.

Asayish and YPG forces have been calling upon regime soldiers to surrender, and 7 soldiers turned themselves into the YPG last night. 2 soldiers surrendered this morning and 36 more surrendered this afternoon. As the total number of regime soldiers that surrendered to Asayish and YPG forces has reached 45, Kurdish forces now control 80 percent of Elaya prison. It is said that 22 regime soldiers remain inside the prison.

Regime soldiers had attacked Asayish forces in Qamishlo’s Wehdê Intersection yesterday. Clashes near the intersection continue.
