Arbitrary attacks by Turkish security forces against civilians in the Kurdish region continue.

Arbitrary attacks by Turkish security forces against civilians in the Kurdish region continue.

Police forces blockaded the 3rd Street in Cudi neighborhood of Şırnak's Silopi district late yesterday evening despite there taking place no incidents in the town.

16-year-old Mustafa Aşlığ was heavily wounded after being shot by a bullet in the head as police opened random fire around in the area.

As the youth couldn't be taken to hospital due to police blockade, local people made every effort and treated him by their own means to be able to save him.

Despite all the efforts, the boy lost his life at around 04:00 last night. Aşlığ family and residents of the neighborhood took his dead body to Silopi State Hospital after the ending of the police blockade and attacks early this morning.

While Aşlığ's body is being held in the morgue for a post-mortem examination, people are waiting outside the hospital.
