Turkish intelligence chief holds talks in Duhok and Shengal

Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan has visited the gang groups in Shengal after meeting with KDP officials in South Kurdistan where he also visited a Turkish base.

Reliable sources speaking to Roj News stated that Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) Undersecretary Hakan Fidan has been to South Kurdistan on 14-15 March.

During this visit, Fidan reportedly held separate talks in Duhok with the KDP President Masoud Barzani and Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister and KDP Vice President Nechirvan Barzani.

The meetings reportedly witnessed talks on KDP-Turkey collaboration and joint action against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

The same sources said that following this meetings Fidan held talks with various gang groups in Shengal, after which he went to the Turkish military base in Bamerne where he also held official talks.
