HDP Group Deputy Chairpersons Pervin Buldan and İdris Baluken issued a press release and stated that as 80 parliamentarians, they were applying for the lifting of all parliamentarians' immunities so that everyone could be brought to account.

Buldan and Baluken said that AKP aimed to shut down the political arena and the system of democracy by closing down HDP, and 80 HDP parliamentarians were applying for the lifting of all immunities in the parliament including Erdoğan’s so that everybody could be brought to account.

'ERDOĞAN AND AKP THREATEN THE LIVES OF 77 MILLION PEOPLE '

HDP Chairpersons emphasized that Erdoğan’s Palace State ignored the results of June 7 elections and carried out an intervention in order to establish its dictatorship. Buldan and Baluken noted that the Palace has dominated the judiciary, bureaucracy, politics, media, human rights and peace, and Erdoğan and AKP threatened the lives of 77 million people in Turkey by waging a war in order to establish dictatorship, hide their previous crimes and continue stealing from Turkish citizens.

'PRO-INTERVENTION MENTALITY REPRESENTATIVES: NATIONALISTS AND AKP MEMBERS'

Buldan and Baluken highlighted that the nationalists and AKP members were the representatives of the pro-intervention mentality in Turkey, despite the fact that the nationalist party was closed down in 1980 and AKP was almost shut down in 2008. HDP chairpersons criticized the nationalists for abandoning their goal of bringing AKP thieves into account and collaborating with AKP instead. Buldan and Baluken recalled Erdoğan’s recent threat towards HDP through its instruction ‘to do what is necessary,’ and described this threat as disrespect for the will of millions of voters.

'IT IS NOT YOUR PLACE TO BRING US TO ACCOUNT'

HDP Chairpersons warned the AKP for its threats targeting HDP, and said that it was not AKP’s place to bring them to account. Instead, HDP Group Deputy Chairpersons said that AKP should be brought to account for the massacres in Roboski, Gezi, Reyhanlı, Diyarbakır and Suruç, as well as the billions of dollars they stole from citizens and hid in their houses. Buldan and Baluken also reminded the AKP support to ISIS and the lavish expenditures of AKP officials, and said that President Erdoğan should explain the legal grounds for his AKP propaganda before the elections.

CALL UPON THE PARLIAMENT AND ERDOĞAN

HDP Group Deputy Chairpersons stated that as 80 parliamentarians, they were applying for the lifting of all parliamentarian immunities so that everyone could be brought to account, and called upon AKP and MHP help lift all immunities if they had nothing to hide including cases of corruption and bribery.
