Access to Özgür Radyo's website blocked

Access to the website of Özgür Radyo, which broadcasts on 95.1 in Istanbul, has been blocked. Today, the Information and Communications Technologies Authority decided to block access to the radio’s website.

After the closure of 12 televisions and 11 radio stations across Turkey following the recent National Security Council Meeting, access to the website of Özgür Radyo was blocked today.

When listeners go to Özgür Radyo’s website, which broadcasts on 95.1 in Istanbul, they are met with the decision of the Information and Communications Technologies Authority.

The radio continues to make terrestrial and online broadcast.

With the decree law, the offices of Van TV in Van, Denge TV in Batman, Radyo Dünya in Adana, Radyo Ses in Mersin and Özgür Güneş in Malatya were raided and sealed, and the terrestrial and online broadcast of the organizations were shut down.

Hayatın Sesi TV, Jiyan TV, Zarok TV, TV 10, Azadi TV, Mezopotamya TV and Yön FM has been removed from the Turksat satellite. The full list of the institutions to be closed down has not yet been released.
