A series of decisions made at PYD Europe Congress in Brussels

Partiya Yekitîya Demokrat- Democratic Union Party (PYD) Europe Organization held its 8th Congress in Belgium capital Brussels on September 24-25.

Partiya Yekitîya Demokrat- Democratic Union Party (PYD) Europe Organization held its 8th Congress in Belgium capital Brussels on September 24-25.

The two-day conference was attended by a total of 700 delegates, 135 of whom were women, who came from across Europe, Scandinavian countries, Greece and Bulgaria.

PYD co-chairs Asya Abdullah and Saleh Moslem, PYD European Representative Zuhat Kobanê, TEV-DEM's Aldar Xalil, KONGRA GEL co-chair Remzi Kartal, Greek Party Syriza's Antonios Markopoulos, HDP's Kemal Aktaş, Party Demokrati Kurdistan's Ali Herori, TJK-E's Dilşah Osman, Sinn Fein's Emma Clancy as well as representatives of many other parties and institutions also attended the congress during which 25 people were elected for the administration of the PYD Europe Organization.

Many important decisions were made following discussions during the congress, which include:

- acceleration of efforts for a political solution in Syria

- protesting of Turkish state's attempt of occupation in Jarablus and Rojava

- initiation of works for solidarity with Rojava

- initiation of works with international institutions for the return of refugees

- initiation of works for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan

- expansion of PYD's works

- ensuring the PYD to serve as a bridge between Rojava and Europe in the fields of culture and art

- acceleration of diplomatic works.
