YPG: Turkish army attacked our positions

YPG General Command issued a message to the Ceasefire Watch Coordination in Syria declaring that Turkish soldiers attacked YPG positions in Rojava, West Kurdistan.

YPG General Command issued a message to the Ceasefire Watch Coordination in Syria that the Turkish army attacked YPG positions and thus violated the ceasefire.

YPG’s message is as follows:

“To the Ceasefire Watch Coordination in Syria,

To the esteemed members of the Ceasefire Watch Coordination,

We would like to inform you that the soldiers of the Turkish army have raked the positions of YPG units in Xerezê, to the north of Hesekê that is close to Amûdê at 20.45 on March 14, 2016.”

The rest of the statement mentions the aim of Turkish army attacks and states: “The Turkish army wishes to put up a wall in the border region in Syrian territory.”
