YPG General Command called on the inhabitants in the area of the ongoing Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo to leave the region and go to the Cizîrê Canton to avoid being harmed and used by ISIS gangs as human shields.

In a written statement released Saturday afternoon, YPG General Command pointed out that the ISIS gangs that have been inflicted severe blows in the Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo have used people as human shields, made the civilian areas unliveable with mines and traps and forced the local people to displacement.

Vowing to provide all kinds of humanitarian aid to the people displaced due to ongoing battle, YPG General Command said; "We are ready to offer any kind of help to ensure that the people can turn back home once the operation has been finalized and the region is cleansed of gang groups."

YPG General Command stressed that; "Our people that have been forced to displacement during the ongoing operation against ISIS gangs can settle in Cizîrê Canton cities like Serêkaniyê and Hesekê, without being made to leave Syria and take shelter in other countries. The displaced people will be provided with every need of theirs. We will offer all kinds of support in order for our people to turn back home safe after the ending of the operation."
