State forces failing to break the resistance continue bombing Şırnak

As the bombing of Şırnak province by state forces continues on the 43rd day of the popular resistance for self-rule, tanks, heavy weapons and military personnel were dispatched to the city through the night.

On the 43rd day of the self-rule resistance against genocidal attacks of state forces in Şırnak, the bombing of neighborhoods and clashes continued through the night. The bombardment was focused on İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet, Yenimahalle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods and caused fires to break out in many houses. Violent clashes break out between YPS/YPS-JIN members and state forces trying to enter İsmetpaşa, Bahçelievler and Yenimahalle neighborhoods along with the bombings. Clashes have intensified in the morning hours while several ambulances were dispatched to the area.

State forces targeting all areas of life to break the self-rule resistance set fire to houses on some streets they enter in Dicle neighborhood. Neighborhood residents report that Turkish military and police forces are trying to advance by setting fire to all houses in a row.

While military dispatchment to the city continues, there was an extraordinary activity last night. Semi-trailer trucks carried tanks, excavators and heavy weapons from Cizre direction through the night. Dozens of new armored vehicles entered the city and headed to the 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command.

Meanwhile the city center and rural areas saw UAV activity all night.
