Newroz celebrations organised with the slogan 'From free Rojava towards a democratic federal system' continue in Kobanê where the resistance of the ages against ISIS cruelty was displayed.

The celebration grounds are adorned with posters of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the martyrs of the legendary resistance, flags of TEV-DEM and YPG/YPJ and colors of yellow, red and green.

People of Kobanê who rushed to the Newroz grounds in their traditional national garments greet the people of Bakur in their self-government resistance with the spirit of the historic Kobanê resistance.

Newroz fire was lit by martyr’s mothers in the celebrations that started with the march Ey Raqîp after a minute’s silence for Rojava martyrs.
