Kurdish citizens in Turkish cities continue facing racist attacks on the excuse of death of soldiers whom AKP blatantly sacrifices for its own war against the Kurdish people, both the freedom movement and civilians.

A group of Kurdish citizens working in Taşkesti town of Bolu's Mudurnu district have been subject to a lynching attempt yesterday evening.

Hundreds of fascist assailants coming to the town from Akyazı gathered outside the container housing the Kurdish workers who -they claimed- hung a flag of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party).

The racist attack forced eight Kurdish workers to take shelter on the roof of a school under construction. While the racist mob burnt the container, workers remained on the roof under the siege of the assailants for hours.

A gendarmerie team that later came to the scene detained the Kurdish workers and took them to Bolu Gendarmerie Directorate.

HDP Bolu provincial co-chair Özgür Günaydın stated that the workers would be released after giving their statements, adding that they had no detailed information about the incident yet. “However, we are almost sure that they will leave the city once released because they can no more work here under the current circumstances”, he added.
