HPG statement on ISIS attack on Makhmur refugee camp

Makhmur HPG Command released a statement about the ISIS attack attempt on Makhmur Refugee Camp this morning.

HPG Command reported that two ISIS gangs attempted to infiltrate into the Makhmur Refugee Camp at around 06:00 local time this morning. HPG guerrillas and self-defense forces intervened the gangs after noticing them, in the wake of which one of the gangs blew himself up during clashes, and the other was killed by self-defense forces.

According to the statement, one guerrilla and one resident of the camp, Mehmet Arif from Ağrı's Bazid district, lost their lives in the clashes.

The ISIS member that committed suicide attack failed to detonate all the bombs he was carrying, and guerrillas detonated these with remote control.
