HPG: 7 soldiers killed in Bingöl

According to HPG's daily statement, guerrillas conducted an action against a Turkish troop deployed on Hill Martyr Lezgin at the border to Metina area of PKK-held Medya Defense Zones. Guerrillas hit a tank, an A-6 weapon and emplacement at 15:15 on April 21, as a result of which the A-6 weapon and emplacement were destroyed, while the tank was damaged.

HPG reported that Turkish warplanes shelled Derarê area and Kuroşino hill between 22.30 – 23.00 on April 21.

On April 18, guerrillas carried out an assassination action against the Karataş outpost at the border of Hakkari's Çukurca district at 16:30. One soldier was killed here.

ACTION AGAINST ERİŞ OUTPOST

In a separate action, guerrillas hit the Eriş outpost at the border of Hakkari's Çukurca district at 15:00 on April 21. The number of casualties inflicted here couldn't be made clear though.

7 SOLDIERS KILLED IN BİNGÖL

Recalling that Turkish military had started an operation in Akdağ area of Bingöl's Genç district on April 18, HPG said a clash erupted between guerrillas and soldiers upon their confrontation in this area at 09:00 in the morning.

While Turkish helicopters airdropped soldiers into the area after the fighting, a renewed clash took place between guerrillas and soldiers near the village of Evnık at 14:00 in the afternoon. 7 soldiers of the Turkish army were killed and 5 others were wounded in the clash that lasted till 19:00 in the evening.

HPG said 2 guerrillas lost their lives in the clash and their ID details will be announced once made clear.

ACTION AGAINST SPECIAL OPERATIONS POLICE IN FİSKAYA

A guerrilla unit targeted special operations police in Fiskaya district of Amed in the evening of April 19. The number of police casualties couldn't be clarified.

HPG reported that Turkish troops are laying ambushes near Xalaçê village of Ağrı's Doğubayazıt district for the past 3 days.

According to the statement, Turkish army started an operation in Kanî Orê area of Hakkari's Çukurca district at 23:00 on April 20. Village guards also participating in the operation.

Turkish Cobra-type helicopters bombed Hill Leylek and Hill Sor at the border of Hakkari's Yüksekova district between 08.30 – 10.00 on April 21.
