Heavy clashes in Şırnak

YPS-JIN member Gurbet Kaya (Jiyan Amargi) lost her life in clashes in Şırnak where self-rule resistance continues for the last 7 days against state attacks.

Clashes continue in Şırnak where the self-rule resistance has been going on for the last 7 days against genocidal attacks. In continuous clashes in the city, state forces who try to enter the neighborhoods are pushed back by the resistance of YPS/YPS-JIN.

Fire broke out in many houses in Yeşilyurt, Gazipaşa, Dicle, Cumhuriyet, İsmetpaşa and Bahçelievler neighborhoods that were under continuous artillery and Howitzer fire last night. The neighborhoods were also raked by grenade launchers on armored vehicles. Heavy clashes broke out in Yeşilyurt and Dicle neighborhoods when YPS/YPS-JIN members retaliated against attacks against the neighborhoods.

AMBULANCE ACTIVITY

While tank, artillery and howitzer attacks on neighborhoods continue on the areas of the self-rule resistance, heavy clashes are taking place in Yeşilyurt, Gazipaşa and İsmetpaşa neighborhoods. There are rumored to be special forces' casualties and injuries and numerous ambulances were seen riding towards 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command from the early hours of the morning.

GURBET KAYA LOST HER LIFE

In a written statement by YPS General Coordination regarding the ongoing clashes in the city, it was declared that the female resister Gurbet Kaya (Jiyan Amargi) lost her life in clashes that broke out after state attacks against Dicle Neighborhood.

YPS statement on the subject had these following points: “There is an intense orientation towards Dicle Neighborhood which is being shelled with tanks and artillery. There are clashes between our forces and the thugs who want to advance by tearing down walls of houses. In these clashes, one YPS-JIN fighter has been martyred. Detailed information about the clashes in Dicle and Muşilli neighborhoods will be shared with the public later on.”
