HDP Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş spoke during the 2nd Extraordinary Congress of the HDP’s Amed branch, and said that the Kurdish movement would reach victory because of its righteous cause. Demirtaş emphasized that they would not stop resisting until they expel the thieves from the country.
Demirtaş criticized both the fascist AKP government and the enabling Turkish opposition, and said that the dirty union of these forces could not stop the resistance and advance of the people. The HDP Co-President criticized the Kurdphobic discourse and policies of Erdoğan, and said that nobody could continue their rule through cruelty and brutality.
In his speech, Demirtaş recalled the recent destruction of Kurdish town and said that Kurdistan would survive and prevail in the face of Erdoğan’s pressure to submit to AKP’s rule. Demirtaş criticized the new Prime Minister Yıldırım’s attacks on the HDP Metropolitan Municipality in Amed, and said that it was the corrupt AKP municipalities that steal peoples’ money. Lastly, Demirtaş called upon peoples to support and protect their parliamentarians, and promised that as parliamentarians they would resist AKP fascism until their last breath.
