Cizre Municipality Council member Abdulhamit Poçal, who was among those wounded in today's aggression by police in Şırnak's Cizre district, has died.

As the state of siege continues in Cizre in its 38th day, a group of people including HDP MP Faysal Sarıyıldız and Cizre co-mayor Kadir Konut went to Cudi neighborhood to retrieve the civilian casualties from street earlier today.

People managed to get the bodies of slain civilians Serhat Altun, Ahmet Tunç and Mehmet Kaplan, and 4 others with wounds from the neighborhood, and carried them up to Nusaybin Street where police fired on them from two armored vehicles.

While people took shelter in the houses in the area, Abdulhamit Poçal, member of Cizre Municipality Council, was shot in the head and got heavily wounded as a result of the attack . Poçal was taken to Cizre State Hospital where he has lost his life in the evening.

On the other hand, police make effort to detain another member of Cizre Municipality Council, Selahattin Ecevit, who was also hospitalized after suffering an injury in the aggression.
