As the onslaught by state forces is getting heavier in Şırnak's Cizre district in its 35th day, Civil Defense Units (Yekineyên Parastina Sivil, YPS) have responded to the intensified aggression on Cudi neighborhood, which resulted in heavy clashes in the evening hours.

Four special operation police were killed and one other got heavily wounded in the fighting. Casualties have reportedly been transferred to Şerafettin Elçi Airport in Şırnak.

While attacks on Cudi neighborhood continue, sporadic clashes are also going on.
