25 soldiers killed in action by YJA Star guerrillas

YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) Press Office has released a statement announcing an action in memory of Marty Baran Dersim and guerrillas recently martyred as a result of attacks by the Turkish army.

The statement said that YJA Star guerrillas conducted an expansive sabotage action against a military convoy heading from Military Officer's Club in Tatvan district of Bitlis to Sorgun Brigade at 07:50 on September 28.

One minibus and one armored vehicle in the convoy, as well as the main entrance gate of the Sorgun guard post and  two emplacements here were all destroyed.

According to the statement, 25 soldiers were killed and 10 others were wounded in the action. The casualties were later removed from the scene with 13 ambulances and armored vehicles.

The statement by YJA Star Press Office underlined that the Turkish army hid the losses it suffered, and just announced the number of those wounded.
