KDP gangs in 3 examples

The identities of just 3 people who took part in the KDP-AKP gangs’ attack on Êzidî forces in Khanasor is enough to show why they deserve the phrase “gangs” rather than “peshmerga”.

İbrahim Mihemmed Yusuf, code name Dilovan Rubari, who was awarded after he fled the PKK to become a counter-guerrilla unit, Shengali Sunni Mesut Muhammed who invaded Shengal together with ISIS and Ahmet Salih from Duhok who abandoned Shengal to ISIS and fled along with Serbest Babir are just three of the people that gathered in a gang called “Rojava peshmerga”, a joint production by the AKP-ruled Turkish state and the KDP.

This gang group has not only murdered Êzidî fighters in Khanasor, but they also murdered 2 guerrillas who intervened. The KDP and the Turkish state are preparing for another attack.

İbrahim Mihemmed Yusuf who uses the code name Dilovan Rubari acts as the chief gang master. Yusuf was born in 1977 in Dêrik’s Rubariya village. He engaged in activities around Derik in the name of the Kurdish Freedom Movement since 1994. He used the code name Rizgar. By the end of the ‘90s he took to the mountains. He was a guerrilla for one and a half years, then he ran away with a woman and returned to Dêrik. When he couldn’t make it there, he went to hide near his sister in Qamishlo where he started to carry out activities in the name of KDP with Mahmut Gergeri. He was involved in the period KDP sent young people from Rojava to Duhok and Zakhho for their education and turned them into counter-guerrilla units in 2003. When the events started unfolding in 2011 in Syria, KDP formed a structure called the “Rojava peshmerga” from the young men they gathered and those who fled the guerrilla and became counter-units. The Turks were behind the idea and the training. Dilovan Rubari crossed into Duhok in 2012 and received ranks. Dilovan Rubari was made a member of the Central Committee for the PDK-S, formed by 4 parties joining together, in 2014. Rubari is now the assistant to Abdulkadir Şeyh Meme from Duhok, the general commander of the gang group.

Rubari’s photo archive shows how pampered he was, how he was “honored” by Barzani and Osman Öcalan, and that he passed through the counter-guerrilla training centers formed by the Turks.

HE WAS WITH ISIS, NOW HE’S WITH THE KDP

Another member of the KDP and AKP gang is Shengali Mesut Muhammed. He is known among Shengalis as Muhenned. Mesut Muhammed is a Shengali Sunni. When ISIS invaded Shengal, his family stood with and within ISIS. For the duration of ISIS’ stay in Shengal, they stayed within ISIS to lead the murder of many Êzidîs and the pillaging of their property. During the liberation operation, as ISIS retreated to the Rambusi village, they were ambushed by the guerrillas. Muhammed was wounded in this ambush. He was then taken to Southern Kurdistan for treatment. After his treatment, he was included in the gang trained by the Turkish army officers. One of the forerunners in the attack on Khanasor on March 3 was Mesut Muhammed.

HE HAD ESCAPED WITH SERBEST

One of the people who partook in the attacks on Khanasor town and blocked the road while people wanted to go from Dêrik to Shengal was Ekit Ahmet Salih, a KDP member from Duhok in his 60s. He was stationed there when ISIS attacked Shengal. He was in the peshmerga command in Shengal along with Serbest Babir. He was one of those who withdrew their forces and faced toward Duhok. He also has a rank: colonel. He is another member of the gang called “Rojava peshmerga” now.

TURKISH DEPLOYMENT TO SOUTHERN KURDISTAN

The Turkish army deployed a large number of soldiers to Southern Kurdistan’s Sideqa area accompanied by armored tank type vehicles yesterday morning.

Local sources spoke to the ANF and said the Turkish army deployed a large number of soldiers from Duhok’s Deraluk district to Hewler’s Sideqa area in the morning hours along with armored tank type vehicles. The area in question is known as the border of the Medya Defense Zones.

The source stated that a shopkeeper was beaten and arrested by KDP forces as he attempted to photograph and record the dispatch.

The Turkish state has been making similar deployments to the Diyana territory and recently KDP has positioned forces in Qesrê and Balayan regions in the Qandil territory.
