Two Turkish soldiers injured in YPG action in Afrin

YPG/YPJ fighters carried out an action against a position of invading forces in Afrin city center, killing one gang member and injuring two Turkish soldiers.

Fighters of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units (YPG/YPJ) carried out an action a checkpoint belonging to Turkish invasion army in Afrin city center. Two Turkish soldiers were heavily injured and a gang member named Abeed al-Azeez Nachar was killed in this action.

The Turkish army launched invasion attacks against Afrin on January 20. Carrying out attacks together with mercenaries from Al-Qaeda and ISIS gangs, the Turkish state systematically targeted civilians and civilian substructures. Hundreds of civilians inckuding dozens of children were massacred and hundreds of thousands were forced to migrate. Turkish forces and gangs then looted the houses and workplaces of the civilian population. Many civilians have not been heard from since March 18 when the invaders entered the city. Reports are coming through of torture and savage executions by the invaders against the civilians that remained in the city and its districts.
