“Syria and Russia should review their policies on Afrin”

Syrian regime and Russia should review their policies on Afrin, Mihemed Al Ferec, commander of Syrian Popular Forces militia group said.

In an interview with ANHA News Agency, Mihemed Al Ferec, commander of Syrian Popular Forces militia group said that Syrian regime and Russia should revise their policies on Afrin.

“Turkey is violating the ceasefire declared by the United Nations Security Council. Turkey is deliberately bombing civilians. I call for Syrian and Russian officials to investigate the practices of Turkish state and take action to stop the attacks against civilians” Al Ferec said.

Al Ferec is leading a group of militias under the Syrian army that was deployed to Afrin to protect the borders of Syria.

According to Al Ferec, 10 Popular Forces fighters were killed and 8 were wounded in Turkish airstrikes targeting Afrin.

9 of the fighters were killed during Turkish bombing in Jema village in Shera district. Another fighter was killed in Kefar Sefra village.

Syrian militia has been deployed in border areas of Afrin since February 20.
