Rojava Youth Union rally against Turkish occupation of Kurdistan

New demonstration in Heseke.

Scores of members of the Rojava Youth Union (YCR) joined a rally organised in Heseke on Sunday in protest at the Turkish occupation of Afrin and South Kurdistan.

Photos of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan were carried by young people together with YCR flags. The youth walked through the main streets of Heseke chanting slogans against the Turkish state occupation.

The march ended in front of the Rojava Youth Union building.

Speaking here, Heseke YCR branch member Sadik Kobanê said that the "Serî Hilde" (Rise Up) campaign would continue until the Turkish state occupation forces were pushed out of the territories of Northern Syria and South Kurdistan.

Speaking on behalf of the Young Women's Union, Nusin Ibrahim said: "We rebel against the occupation with the spirit of young women. We will not allow the invading Turkish state to usurp our rights", she added.
