Inhabitants of Shehba: We will fight against Turkish invasion

The inhabitants of Shebhba’s Ehrez district condemned the bombardments of the Turkish army on their homes and vowed to resist the occupiers.

The Turkish army launched attacks on the villages of the Shehba Canton with mortar and artillery fire three days ago, causing material damage to the homes of the civilians.

A woman with the name Xezal Ceifer, whose house sustained damage, said about the attacks: “I was not at home when it was hit by a cannon ball. Only after I went back home I saw that half of my house had been torn down. Thank God, my children were with me and no one suffered injuries."

Xezal stressed that they will defend their land, and continued: "Why are they shelling the houses of civilians, if they are so valiant then they shall come with troops on the ground."

Another inhabitant Fatme Mihemed also pointed out that they will never abandon their soil, voicing her wish that civilians shall not become the target and no more blood shall be shed anymore.

Seran Hemu stated that also the nature is getting its share of the damages the shelling by the Turkish army create and that one of the cannon balls hit her house and caused the walls to collapse.

Seran Hemo called on the peoples of Syria and especially those living in the Efrîn Canton to forge their unity against Turkey's plans and assured that they will mount their struggle against the invasion attempts of the Turkish state with all their might.
