Gangs blockade the public bazaar in Afrin

The public bazaar in the Turkish-occupied Afrin (the Suq Shahbi) was surrounded by gangs and 3 people were abducted this morning.

According to local sources, gangs loyal to the Ankara regime blockaded the public bazaar in the morning hours.

The gangs have abducted at least 3 people, and as of noon the bazaar is still surrounded by the gangs.

News of theft, rape, torture and executions continue to come every day from occupied Afrin. The Turkish state has called the invasion operation against Afrin the Operation “Olive Branch”, and they systematically commit war crimes in the region along with their gangs.

The Turkish forces started their invasion attacks on January 20, and they entered the city center with their gangs on March 18. Hundreds of civilians have been abducted, and hundreds more have been killed since the invasion attacks started. Civilians’ homes have been looted and bombed, their property has been seized. Many historic sites were also victims of the brutality. People were abducted and tortured every day, every day more property was seized. In a recent report, the Human Rights Watch stated that Turkey-backed groups are pillaging and confiscating private property that belongs to Kurds.
