Foza Yusif: Assad’s accusation against Kurds serves Turkey

Northern Syrian Federation Executive Council Co-chair Foza Yusif stated that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s accusation against the Kurds serves the Turkish state and other parties that want the Syrian crisis to continue.

Northern Syrian Federation Executive Council Co-chair Foza Yusif met with political representatives in TEV-DEM (Movement for Democratic Society) Diplomacy Bureau in Qamislo, where she evaluated recent developments related to Damascus, Moscow and Ankara.

The meeting was attended by Cizire Foreign Affairs Council President Ebdulkerim Umer, TEV-DEM Diplomacy Committee member Ebdulselam Ehmed and representatives of political parties under the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD).

“SAUDI ARABIA WANTS TO DEVELOP RELATIONS WITH NORTHERN SYRIA”

Evaluating current developments during the meeting, Foza Yusif stated that Saudi Arabia wanted to develop relations with Northern Syria and said; “This situation has emerged with the visit to Raqqa of State President Tamer El Saban in charge of relations with Gulf.”

“MOSCOW WILL WORK FOR ASSAD”

Commenting on Russian policies on Syria, Yusif said Moscow will work in order for Bashar al-Assad to remain in power in the event of a failure to find an alternative.

“ASSAD’S ACCUSATION AGAINST KURDS SERVES TURKEY”

Foza Yusif pointed out that relationship between Russia and Turkey will continue in the new year as it is now.

Referring to the recent statement of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who accused the Kurds of being “traitors”, Yusif said; “This statement is against all constituents in Northern Syria. All segments in the region fight under the roof of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). This statement might produce some results, so it shouldn’t be underestimated. This statement serves the policies of Turkey and some parties that want the Syrian crisis to continue. If the Syrian regime or other parties want to fight against the SDF, we are ready for this.”
