17 members of Turkey affiliated gangs killed in Efrîn and Shehba

17 members of the gangs affiliated with the invading Turkish army were killed as result of their attacks on Shehba region and Efrîn Canton of Rojava.

Turkish army affiliated gangs that invaded the village of Mierin Sino started an attack on Qestel Cindo village in Efrîn Canton Wednesday evening. 4 members of the gangs were killed in ensuing clashes and the attacks were repelled.

Following the attack on Qestel Cindo village, gangs launched an attack on the positions of Jaysh al-Thuwar (Army of Revolutionaries) in Minix and Elqemiyê villages in Shehba region. One gang member was killed during the fighting that followed.

According to a military source, Jaysh al-Thuwar and YPG/YPJ fighters inflicted heavy blows on the gangs and forced them to retreat. 

A mine exploded and hit a vehicle of the gangs during their withdrawal. No reports were immediately available as to how many gang members were killed or wounded in the explosion.

As gangs continued their attacks on Efrîn and Shehba, clashes have spread to the Shehba Dam, Siruc, Til Medîq, Simoqiye and Hisiye villages. The region is calm now following clashes that continued into the morning hours.

The invading Turkish army has recently founded a so-called operation room by the name of Ahl Al-Diyar in the place of the failed Euphrates Shield. The Turkish state thus aims to invade the Shehba region and the Efrîn Canton.

The gangs continue their attacks but they are forced to retreat after suffering blows at the hands of the Jaysh al-Thuwar, YPG/YPJ fighters as result of every single aggression they carry out.
