Young women march against the isolation

Young women in Derîk are marching against the Imrali isolation on their second day.

The march the Young Women’s Union started in Derîk to support DTK Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Guven’s hunger strike and to protest the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues on its second day.

The march continues today towards the Ayn Diwar village.

STARTED WITH SLOGAN “RISE UP”

The Young Women’s Union started their march yesterday with the slogan, “Rise up, resist, dismante fascism, free the Leader” from the Xane Serê village of Derîk to the city center. 200 young women from the Cizre region are in the march.

The activists reached the city center yesterday and continued to march towards the Ayn Diwar village this morning, taking off from the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement Martyr Bawer Center.

The protest will end in the Ayn Diwar village with a press statement.
