Thousands rally in Heseke for Afrin and Öcalan

A demonstration was staged in Heseke in protest at the isolation of Öcalan and Turkish occupation of Afrin.

Women’s Movement Kongreya Star organized a march to protest against the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish army and allied jihadist mercenaries.

The march that kicked off in front of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) was attended by thousands of people who held banners and chanted slogans against isolation and occupation.

The demonstration ended with a rally at Marty Blind Stadium where Kongreya Star executive Mûna Yûsif highlighted the inhumane practices committed in occupied Afrin.

Mûna put emphasis on the historic resistance mounted by YPG/YPJ (People’s/Women’s Defense Units) and the people of Afrin against occupation forces, stressing that this resistance will liberate Afrin.
