PYD's Hesen evaluated Rojava parties' visit to South Kurdistan

Hesen said that their visit to Basurê Kurdistan was positive and that the delegation met with all political parties and organizations.

Representatives of Kurdish political parties in Rojava met at the TEV-DEM building in Qamishlo to evaluate the outcome of their delegation's visit to Bashurê (South) Kurdistan.

After a closed door meeting Democratic Union Party (PYD) Co-chair Shahoz Hesen made a statement to the press on behalf of political parties.

Hesen said that their visit to Bashurê Kurdistan was positive and that the delegation met with all political parties and organizations. He added that the talks emphasized the importance of Kurdish unity in the current sensitive process of the region.

“We made deep evaluations regarding the Kurdish National Congress. - Hesen said - A national congress and the establishment of a common force against the attacks of the Turkish state on Basurê Kurdistan and Rojava were discussed.” 

Hesen said that all the institutions had a positive attitude and added that all political parties in Southern Kurdistan will take steps and work towards the establishment of the Kurdish National Congress.

“The talks also discussed the attacks against Rojava, the victory against ISIS and the difficulties faced after the defeat of ISIS. One of the most important issues was the liberation of Afrin. During the talks, it was discussed what can be done to ensure Afrin is liberated from Turkish occupation.”
