People in Kobanê marched for Öcalan

March demanding freedom for Abdullah Öcalan was organised in Qenaya, Kobanê

Hundreds of citizens responded the call of Kongreya Star in Qenaya district of Kobanê Canton and marched demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The march started in Hemdas Village and continued to the district center. 

The march continued for 4 km and then turned into a mass rally. 

Qenaya Council co-chair, Suad Şêx Dumer said: "Öcalan is not alone. The people of Kurdistan and those who follow him are with him. As Rojava and North Syrian women we will raise our struggle until reaching freedom for Öcalan. Because Öcalan liberated us from slavery".

Qenaya Kongreya Star executive, Cewher Semo, condemned the international silence against the isolation regime imposed on Öcalan and urged Syrian women to step up their struggle to demand freedom for the Kurdish People’s Leader. 

Today, Thursday, a new rally will be organised in Sirin, province of Kobanê.
