Northern and Eastern Syria Administration to begin working

Among the tasks of the new coordination body are education, services and the reconstruction of the newly liberated areas.

The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration, which was established as a roof organization to ensure the coordination between the autonomous government and the councils in the region, is expected to begin carrying out its work in November.

The establishment of the Northern and Eastern Syrian Autonomous Administration responded to the long-term successes of the autonomous administrations in the cantons of Kobanê, Cizire and Afrin, as well as the local councils of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Manbij and Tabqa.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have liberated these areas defeating the DAESH mercenaries and assisted the local people to get organised and establish their own self-government institutions.

Seven offices opened

The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Co-Presidency announced the opening of seven offices after the establishment of the councils.

These include offices for Foreign Relations, Press, Defense, Oil and Underground Resources, Planning and Humanitarian Aid.

Areas of work

The Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration will officially start its work in November.

The Autonomous Administration is expected to perform many tasks, beginning education and services.

Important tasks, such as the reconstruction of the areas newly liberated from DAESH mercenaries, also fit in the mandate of the Autonomous Administration.

The Autonomous Administration is also expected to establish a common operative mechanism throughout North and East Syria and to take important steps in the field of services.

Bêrîvan Xalid, Co-chair of the Executive Council, told that they would rebuild newly liberated areas.
