"Inclusiveness in writing new Constitution is the key to unity"

TEV-DEM executive said that full participation and inclusiveness would have a major impact on the protection of the unity of Syria.

Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) Diplomatic Relations spokesperson, Aldar Xelîl, said that the current Syrian constitution does not provide a solution to the crisis and remarked that changes should be made with the participation of all the peoples of Syria, included those in the Northern and Eastern regions.

On his Twitter account Aldar Xelîl said that the Syrian constitution in place before the war started in 2011, cannot provide a solution. He added that all the peoples of Syria should be able to express their opinion on the new constitution currently being discussed. He added that all Syrians should be listened to.

Xelîl also pointed out that the people of Northern and Eastern Syria are ready to join the constitution-building process and that full participation and inclusiveness would have a major impact on the protection of the unity of Syria and the achievement of a democratic solution.
