Erdogan’s gangs violently murder civilian for ransom

Turkish state allied gangs murdered a civilian they abducted in Idlib for ransom by cutting off his limbs when they couldn’t get the money they asked.

According to an article by ANHA, masked Turkish state allied gang members attacked Merwan Hemdawi and a group of workers in an olive grove in the Mecliya village of Idlib’s Erîha region a week ago.

Following clashes between the gangs and the workers, Hemdawi was abducted.

Footage surfaced online a few days later and showed the gangs torturing Hemdawi and asking his family for $250.000 in ransom.

The gangs threatened that they would cut off Hemdawi’s limbs if they don’t receive the ransom they asked, but Hemdawi’s son failed to put the money together. The gangs then violently murdered Hemdawi by cutting off his limbs.

This atrocity isn’t a first for the crimes committed by the Turkish state and their allied gangs. In Afrin and all invaded areas, there have been systemic abductions, confiscation of property, torture, rape and violent executions. Human rights organizations say thousands of people have been arbitrarily detained and tortured.
