1300 more civilians rescued by SDF

More civilians have been freed from ISIS captivity.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are making further advances against ISIS as part of the Operation Cizire Storm campaign’s final phase dubbed ‘Defeat Terrorism’, carried out in the eastern rural areas of Deir ez-Zor.

ISIS terrorists attempt to stop the SDF’s advance with explosive laden vehicles, but fighters continue to break the attacks and advance on, rescuing hundreds of civilians every day. SDF minesweeping units are clearing the landmines ISIS gangs laid along the route of civilians and in houses.

The local people who manage to flee from ISIS-occupied areas are seeking refuge with the SDF. The freed civilians are then taken to camps in Northern and Eastern Syria and their needs are met.

While thousands of civilians have been rescued from the terrorists during the campaign, through security corridors opened by the fighters, SDF sometimes advance slowly for the safety of the civilians who ISIS gangs use as human shields.

SDF fighters have rescued 1300 more civilians on Saturday through the security corridor they opened in the region of Marashlı and Upper Baghouz villages.

The majority of the rescued civilians is made up of women and children.
