Argentina Workers Party (Partido de Trabajador@s) sent a solidarity message to mark the 41st anniversary of the PKK.

The message said: "We embrace the Kurdish people who are still fighting for a society free from all oppression and exploitation, not only for the working class and people, but also for the fruits of the earth."

The message continued: "For us nothing is more remarkable than the heroic and exemplary struggle of all the Kurdish fighters, who build the revolution of women and the people day after day. Those women who after so many decades of patient construction, managed to lead processes of revolution, facing nothing more and nothing less than machismo, patriarchy, the Islamic State and the genocidal State of Turkey. We want to remember here Sakine Cansiz, one of the founders members of the PKK and her comrades Leyla and Fidan, murdered by hitmen of the Turkish State."

The message also saluted "a great fighter, Abdullah Öcalan, founder of the PKK, who has been illegally imprisoned for 20 years. Your people and all peoples, we are still fighting for your freedom!"

The statement stated that "if Kurdistan triumphs, we also triumph" and denounced "all the atrocities that the Turkish army is carrying out. We salute the resistance of the YPG and YPJ."
